I gave them a 25-year-old Oldsmobile 98 that had been garaged for 15 years, asking that it be overhauled for road use. Not only did WAS restore the engine, exhaust, and interior electrical window controls, but also had the exterior finish restored and polished, the interior washed and restored, and new tires mounted and perfectly balanced. I HAD A NEW CAR FOR A VERY REASONABLE CHARGE! The mechanic was polite, knowledgeable, and concerned with getting things right. The owner was never too busy to talk about my car. I now patronize WAS only and completely trust them.I tell friends and strangers about WAS. Robert S.

Fantastic service, I went in to service my car after shattering the rim on my vehicle, Williams Auto Service was more than accommodating and prompt with service. They even offered to drive to and from work ( I work close) while they repaired my vehicle. The repair itself took two days time, and was priced fairly, even though the garage is extremely busy. I always appreciate great work and would recommend Williams Auto Service to anyone with vehicle needs.

Thank you for the 5 star review! We appreciate your business and hope to see you back again soon.

Okay, so leaving DC driving to Atlanta, and I get a flat tire in Richmond (I had previously asked the dealership would my car be okay to drive to Atlanta in the first place and they told me yes...big eye roll) This place was the closest auto place to where I broke down. I got the tow company to bring my car there and they took me right away! I knew my tires had some wear and tear, so I had initially told the people that I wanted three tire changes. When I arrived, they immediately took my car in and were very friendly. They explained what happened to my tire and gave me all of my options. Someone below said that they try to get more money out of you, I had the opposite experience! They were friendly and honest and I ended up only needing two tires changed. Needless to say, I made it safely and I am grateful for Williams Auto Service!

Thank you for your 5 star review! We are happy you made it safely home.

This is the best mechanic shop I have ever found. The guys are completely trustworthy, and I always feel like they take care of everything I NEED, and don't try to upsell on things that I don't. Chris and Shawn are great guys, and it is such a relief knowing that they treat my truck like it's one of their own. Can't say enough good things about these guys.2 years ago

Williams Auto Service has been trustworthy, affordable and on time with every job I have needed for both my cars. I have been a customer of theirs for 3 years now and will be back again, hopefully for state inspection, but with 2 old cars, they can be counted on to keep me rolling anytime I need help. Williams Auto Service is super convenient to anyone working downtown too. I would recommend them to all my friends and family.Sincerely,JB GreggWoodland Heights

Professional, courteous, & HONEST. I am a female & was alone on my way to an appointment in Richmond. I am so thankful to Williams Auto for getting my vehicle back on the road when I didn’t even know where I was at! I even asked if I needed brakes and the staff was HONEST and told me I was good for another six months. What mechanic does that? An honest one! Thank you a million times.

Thank you for your 5 star review! We appreciate your business and hope to see you again soon.

Elite '2020 Elite '2020 I got my state inspection done here today and even though they had a full schedule, they were able to squeeze me in at the end even though I did not have a prior appointment with them. I waited for an afternoon and picked my car up before close, and paid $16. Would have been very inconvenient for me to keep the vehicle there overnight. Thank you for your great service!

Use at your own risk....Ok for state inspections , but I took my car in for an oil change on Wednesday... was told I needed my belts done and diagnostics on an oil leak and that would be another hour. Almost 2 hours later, they tell me they didn't do the diagnostic since the gasket looked like it was the problem...and that I should bring it back the next day. I got to leave and they can't find my keys, but then after they do, my car is making this high pitched squealing and hissing noise. I come back, now late for work, and the guy says that nothing is wrong with the repair, it's that my car was already messed up so the belt wouldn't slide up any further. Then he says the car will run fine the noise if just annoying... I leave and the noise gets louder, my car is jerking. The next morning my car cut off on my at a light when I slowed down... THIS is not what customer service looks like and they honestly couldn't give less of a damn. Edit: after I got it towed to another shop- I called to ask them why they left the belt loose ( since it ended up killing my alternator). They refused to issue a refund and told me I should have brought it back to let them * scoff* fix it right.

We apologize for your experience here yesterday. We do not know how we could have tried to offer better service at the time. We admitted that we did not notice the failed tensioner at the time of the repair, we offered to make the repair as a courtesy to you at no additional cost and offered you a loaner vehicle so you didn't have to wait any longer in the waiting room. We are always striving to improve and the goal was to fix your car not take your money. If you would still like assistance with this please let us know.
