Five out of Five, would recommend. Matt and the guys at Williams Auto are my favorite shop in the Richmond area. I recently had a less than amazing experience at another shop in the area. They did not exactly lie or cheat me, but the customer service was unsatisfactory and they recommended replacing all of my spark plugs (Honda Insight has eight) preemptively instead of trying to find which ones had actually gone bad. I brought it over to Williams Auto after another alarm came on two days after I spent over $400 at the other shop. Matt told me to go back over there to see if they would fix it under warranty of the original work. They did not. So I came back to Williams and they checked over my car, replaced one spark plug and switched some parts around so that they could find out what exactly was wrong. Long story short, they provided great customer service at the shop, checked in on my car after a couple days by phone, and have always explained what they were doing and the reason why. I will continue to bring my car over there and I would recommend it to a friend.

Thank you for the 5 star review! We were happy to help and appreciate your business!

I took my car back to Williams because it was not running right. Now this was like 10 AM, at 3 PM I received a call saying my car was ready for pick-up. I asked him what the issue was, and he stated the tensioner was a faulty one and there is no charge due to if fell under the warranty. These guys are honest and they do not empty your pockets. Thanks Guys, will see you again.

I took my 2003 Acura to Williams after my check engine light came on during a weekend trip to Richmond. They were one of the few places open on Saturday, and were able to get my car into a bay within a few minutes. In less than a half hour, they had diagnosed the issue and provided a helpful explanation, all free of charge. It ended up being a minor issue requiring dealership attention, but my visit to Williams gave me the peace of mind to drive the car the 200 miles back home the following day. Great service, would recommend!

I've used Williams Auto several times in the past and have never had complaints. I've even sent friends their way; however, after yesterday, I'll never return and will caution others. I took my Jeep in for state inspection. Front and back brake pads, both wipers and a front accessory light needed to be replaced. No big deal, it happens. Never in my life would I have expected to be quoted $690.00 for the work. $690!!!!! I asked several times just to be sure. I'm no mechanic but I know when someone is trying to take advantage of me and when I'm spoken to like I'm a child. The price for all parts, which I purchased at Advanced Auto was ~$85.00. $600+ for labor/brake pad warranty is absolutely ridiculous!!! I priced the work at several mechanics around the city and the most expensive was $380 with parts included. I replaced the light and wipers myself and my father replaced my pads. I paid a reputable mechanic an additional $16 for my inspection sticker today....as I'll never return to this establishment!

We are sorry to see you are disappointed with us Raven. The quote we gave you at the time was for pads and rotors all around, the wiper blades, and the inspection. The quote also included an additional 3 year thirty six thousand mile nationwide warranty on the brakes that was optional. If you break the pricing down its about $300 dollars per axle for the brakes which is actually below average at a reputable repair facility. We do admit it is always cheaper to do auto repairs yourself if you are capable.
